The Rye Garden Club filled the historic Jay Mansion with artistic flower arrangements and prize winning horticultural specimens. The two day event attracted skilled entrants from all over New England. They also presented a prize winning conservation exhibit. A sustainable dollhouse was inspired by JHC’s architectural restoration and preservation strategy. The model features a geothermal heating and cooling system, use of low VOC paints, energy star appliances, recycled materials etc. with family friendly “I Spy” cards.
A celebration party followed. Co-Chairs were Elizabeth Woods and Charlotte Sullivan. Silent Auction Co-Chairs were Tapley Sheresky and Mary Jo Razook.
The Rye Garden Club’s elegant flower show was inspired by the history of the Jay mansion, its landscape and residents.
