Enjoy docent led tours of Rye’s landmark African-American Cemetery. The Cemetery is located at 215 North Street, Rye. Tours will take place from 11am to 1pm.
Learn about ongoing monument restoration efforts by “Friends of the African American Cemetery, Inc.”.
Followed by an opening reception of breathtaking historic late 19th and early 20th century photos at the historic Jay Estate, 210 Boston Post Road, Rye, co-hosted by descendants of the families interred at the cemetery. The exhibit and reception will take place at the Van Norden Carriage House from 1pm – 3pm.
FREE and Open to the Public. FREE PARKING
