JHC is proud to partner with the Coalition for Understanding Racism Through Education (CURE) to support “Five Towns: One Book,” a virtual visit and discussion with Pulitzer Prize-winning writer Isabel Wilkerson, author of the critically acclaimed New York Times best-sellers “Caste“ and “The Warmth of Other Suns.” CASTE explores through an immersive deeply researched narrative and stories about real people, how America today and throughout its history has been shaped by a hidden caste system, a rigid hierarchy of human rankings. Join us all on April 25 at 4 pm for a compelling discussion of this book that brings together over 36 like minded organizations – from non-profits to libraries to youth organizations – who share a goal to eliminate racism.
Co-sponsors include: Black Westchester, Community Resource Center, Indivisible New Rochelle, Indivisible Westchester, Jay Heritage Center, Larchmont Library, LMC Media, Rye Act Coalition, Westchester County Board of Legislators, Westchester Human Rights Commission, and YWCA White Plains and Central Westchester.
