An engaged crowd welcomed David Waldstreicher, celebrated author and historian of early and nineteenth-century America to discuss his latest work about the enslaved poet Phillis Wheatley in conversation with author and poet Iain Haley Pollock, Director of the MFA Program in Creative Writing at Manhattanville College.
