Please help us welcome Nate Bagnaschi to our Board of Trustees. Nate is a resident of Rye, New York, where he lives with his wife, their two children and their Labrador Retriever, Bailey. Nate’s family moved to Rye in 2020 from Manhattan, where he lived for 14 years.
Originally from Carlisle Massachusetts, Nate developed a passion for early American History at a young age. When he was attending Concord Carlisle High School, he spent time volunteering for Gaining Ground, a nonprofit organic farm that grows produce sustainably for local meal programs and food pantries. During his time there, Nate spent many summer days tending the garden at the Old Manse, one of the historical homes of Ralph Waldo Emerson, a short walk from the historic Old North Bridge.
Nate received a B.A. in International Relations, with minors in economics and Hispanic studies, from the University of Pennsylvania. After graduating in 2005, Nate has pursued a career in banking and commercial real estate finance. He is currently a Managing Director in the Capital Markets Group at Starwood Capital Group, a global real estate private equity firm. In this role, he is responsible for the origination, structuring, and execution of asset-level and fund/corporate-level financing activity for Starwood’s investments in the Americas.
Nate’s enthusiasm for history combined with his finance and real estate expertise will be invaluable as we enter a pivotal capital improvement phase with major upgrades to the Jay Mansion and the Wachenheim Center. Like many of our trustees, he is committed to expanding our capacity as a community resource.
