Since 1827, Delmonico’s has defined the epitome of elegance and hospitality attracting America’s most illustrious luminaries – presidents, royalty, CEOs restaurateurs and celebrities: Abraham Lincoln, Lillian Russell, Nikola Tesla, Mark Twain, J.P. Morgan, Oscar Wilde, Cary Grant, Eartha Kitt, John F. Kennedy, Lena Horne, Princess Grace, Rock Hudson, Elizabeth Taylor, Arnold Palmer, Christine Jorgensen, Arthur Ashe, Gypsy Rose Lee, Tony May, Sirio Maccioni and many more. For decades, all were welcome at Oscar’s Tucci’s table at Delmonico’s.
And once again everyone is welcome as JHC celebrates this New York landmark’s reopening with a special Delmonico’s themed party at the Jay Estate solely benefiting programs and preservation projects at the Jay Heritage Center. What’s the Jay connection? The Jay family owned the Delmonico’s building for many years and held some of their most important celebrations there.
Help us toast a fellow New York treasure. Join us for an evening of sublime entertaining and legendary recipes from “The Restaurant That Made New York.” Hosted by Max Tucci, global brand officer of Delmonico’s, culinary historian, restaurateur, author and grandson of the legendary Oscar Tucci. With special guests including Marisa May of San Domenico fame. Together, we will celebrate decades of glamour and unmatched conviviality in high style! See photos from last year’s party here at NY Social Diary and here
